Hazel Ann (Hallman) Hanna

Hollow Creek – Mrs. Hazel Ann Hallman Hanna, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

Left to cherish Hazel’s memories are her husband of 49 years, John Ray Hanna, sons: Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Tindal, Samuel “Sam” Kris Hanna and his wife Alison, and Kevin Ray Hanna, grandchildren: Kelley Nichole McMahon, Lindsay Leigh McMahon, Samuel Bryson Hanna, Briana Sanders, A.J. Sanders, Isabella Daley, and Levi Hanna, sisters: Shirley Jones and Brenda Steen and her husband David, aunt, Ada Mae Hutto, in-laws: Diane Hanna, Phyllis Ann Hall, and Marie Lynn Reade, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Hazel was born in Aiken County on July 28, 1947, to the late Harry Edward Hallman and the late Susie Jane Poole. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Renee Hanna, granddaughter, Aubree Ann Hanna, brothers-in-law: Ringo Jones, Tommy Hall, and Wayne Reade, and uncle, Nick Hutto.

Hazel was the owner and operator of Hazel’s Style Shop for over fifty years. Her Style Shop was a place where countless stories were told, friendships were made, and customers were treated like family.

In her younger years, Hazel's son, Sam, along with his cousins, spent many days sleeping in the shop while Hazel worked. Their naps were often interrupted by Hazel’s customers gushing over them with playful jokes.

Hazel’s title as Cosmetologist did not stop at external beauty, she was part therapist, offering comfort, guidance, and an ear to listen. She enjoyed spending time riding, whether it was in the car or on the golf cart, embracing both long trips and the simple joy of “cutting the block.” Many of her journeys included a destination where a delicious meal awaited.

She was a woman of faith and a dedicated lifelong member of Clinton United Methodist Church.

Hazel’s love for her family was unmatched. She will forever be loved and missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clinton United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be 2-3 pm on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Clinton United Methodist Church. Funeral Service will be at 3 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Fred Andrea will be officiating.
