Horace Lafon Moody

Lexington – Mr. Horace Lafon Moody, 72, entered into a peaceful rest Saturday, March 17, 2018.

Mr. Moody is the husband of Linda Jeffcoat Moody. Lafon and Linda married April 18th, 1988. Mr.  Moody is the father of Ray (Debra) Moody, Tony (Kim) Moody, Pam Horton, Chris Moody, Amanda (Elliott) Gordon, Tracy Todd, and Greg (Heather) Todd. He has 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Mr. Moody is the brother of Charles Lupton (Barbara) Moody, and the late Carlos “Shorty” Moody and John Milton Moody. He is the son of the late Lupton Jesse Moody and the late Ethel Blanche Whittington Hubbard. Mr. Moody also has several nephews and nieces. 

Mr. Moody attended Pauline Church of Christ. He graduated Lake View High School where he played football. Mr. Moody retired from Owens Steel.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 pm Tuesday at Pauline Church of Christ.  A service celebrating the life of Mr. Moody will be held at 4:00 pm also in the Church. Reverend Rick Farwell will be ministering. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
