James Day

Mr. James Day, 86, entered into rest on Saturday, March 19, 2022.

Mr. James is the husband of Gladys Waters Day. He is the father of Matthew Day, Sara Bell Rushton and her husband Jimmie, and Helen Bouknight and her husband Anthony, and the late Larry James Day. Mr. James is the grandfather of Larry Day, John Day, Jimmy Day, Jessie Day, Joshua Joe Snipes, Jessica Marie Elliott and her husband Michael, Andrew Scott Snipes and his wife Destiny, Jake Bouknight, A. J. Bouknight, and Michaela Bouknight. He is the great grandfather of Bella Marie Elliott, Gracelyn Joy Elliott, Jasper Miles Snipes, Harper Callie Snipes, the late Michaela Marie Elliot, and the late James Andrew Elliot.

He is son of the late William Elzie Day, Sr. and the late Lila Sara Bell Baughman Day. He is the brother of the late William “Bill” Elzie Day, Jr.

Mr. James was a farmer. He enjoyed being outdoors and working the land.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral Service will be 2 pm also in the chapel. Burial will follow at Bethcar Baptist Church Cemetery.
