In Loving Memory of James Humphrey “Hump” Erskine.

James Humphrey “Hump” Erskine, age 75, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026. He was a deeply loving husband and father whose life was defined by devotion to his family and a generous heart that was always ready to help anyone in need.

Hump was highly creative and possessed a unique talent for directing and teaching others exactly how to bring a project to life. An avid hunter in his early days, he maintained a lifelong passion for fishing, raising animals, and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur Erskine, Jr. and Ayre Morrison Erskine.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Darlene Erskine; his daughter, Jessica Erskine; his son, Corey (Jessica) Erskine; and his grandson, Austin Erskine.

In accordance with his final wishes, no formal service will be held. Instead, the family will receive guests at their home to celebrate his life and share memories. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hump’s honor may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
