Mr. James “Jim” Milton Golden, Sr., 73, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 28, 2026.
Left to cherish Jim’s memories are his son, James “Monk” Milton Golden, Jr. and his wife Jennifer, grandchildren: James “JJ” Milton Golden, III and his wife Elizabeth, Connor “CG” O. Golden, and Camren “Cam” R. Golden, great grandchildren: Ryleigh A. Golden and Sullivan N. Golden, Dad, Phillip “Phil” Cooper, siblings: Lana Hoover and her husband Chris and Phyllis Williams and her husband Olin, nieces and nephews: Ben Kirkland, Matthew “Matt” Williams and his wife Laurie, Eric Cooper and his wife Brooke, and Anna Cooper.
Jim was born on July 3, 1952, in Aiken County to the late Frank Golden and the late Ruby Lillian Young Cooper. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Cooper.
Jim was an entrepreneur starting his own business shortly after graduating high school. He was a watch repairman and the areas only Rolex repairman for many years. Jim was a lover of the outdoors, he was a member of Guinyard Hunting Club for over forty years where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan who never missed the opportunity to watch a game. His favorite sports to watch were anything his grandchildren played. Jim liked helping his son and grandson’s around the family farm, always lending a hand or word of advice. Of all his titles, the one he treasured the most was “Granddaddy”. The void he leaves behind will never be filled and his legacy will live on through his family.

Committal will be 10 am on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Dean Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Celebration of Life Service will follow at 10:30 in the church sanctuary at Dean Swamp Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. Pastor Adam Hensley will be officiating.
