Janet Compton Hayes

Mrs. Janet Compton Hayes, 78, went to her eternal home on Friday, May 6, 2022.

Mrs. Janet is the wife of the late Gayther Columbus “Jimmy” Hayes. She is the “Mommy” of Jimmy Allen Hayes, James "Jay" G. Hayes and his wife Sabra Jane, Jennifer L. Ennis and her husband Bobby, and Joi Hayes. Mrs. Janet is the grandmother of Charlie Caughlin, Susan Hayes, Sarah Hayes, Landon Hayes, Abby Haselden, Tyler Haselden, Kent French, Denny French, Joi West, Zachary French, Brittany (Zach) Truel, Blake Witten, Stone McKinney, Mason McKinney, Elisa McKinney, and Emily McKinney. She is the great grandmother of twenty-six. Mrs. Janet is the daughter of the late Madice Rue Singleton Compton and the late Leslie Compton. She is the sister of Brenda Wadson and her husband the late Andy, Debby Kiser, the late Norman Compton and his wife Kathy, and the late Blaine Compton. She is the sister-in-law of Eugene Hayes and his wife Gaile, the late John Hayes and his wife Jean, the late Ruby Boggs and her husband the late Deb, the late Charlie Hayes and his wife Lois, the late Pauline Yates and her husband the late Leonard, and the late Pearl Stout.  Mrs. Janet has many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Janet was a member of Wayside Baptist Tabernacle.

Visitation will be 1-2 pm Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Service Celebrating the life of Mrs. Janet will be at 2 pm also in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Wayside Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery. Pastor Joey Curado will be ministering to the family.
