Janie Shumpert

Mrs. Janie Ruth Busbee Shumpert, 73, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Mrs. Janie Ruth is the mother of Tony Spires-Farkas, grandmother of McKenzie Cabezas, sister of Robin B. McCormick and her husband Danny, and sister-in-law Lois Ann Busbee. She has several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Janie Ruth was the daughter of the late Budlow and Ruthie Mae Jackson Busbee. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Busbee.

Mrs. Janie Ruth was a member of Bethcar Baptist Church. She graduated Wagener-Salley High School. Mrs. Janie Ruth worked for Graniteville Company, Kent’s Korner, and Dollar General. Mrs. Janie Ruth enjoyed gardening. She also was a small business owner having ventured in a Bait and Tackle Business, as well as a Laundry Mat, and Restaurant. She is the widow of the late Douglas Shumpert and was previously married to Jerry Farkas who adopted Tony.
