Jean Rae (Gunter) Boswell

Fairview – Mrs. Jean Rae Gunter Boswell, 71, entered into rest on Friday, August 18, 2023 surrounded by her family and friends.

Rae was born September 1st, 1951 to the late T. C. and Iris Gunter. Rae is survived by her daughter Kristin (Chris) Oliver of Leesville, grandchildren Garrett and Abigail Oliver of Leesville, and numerous step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, sisters; Elva Randell of Aiken, Annette Poole, Val (Sidney) Tharp, Nancy (Martin) Tharp and Oronda Taylor all of Leesville, and her beloved dog Reese who laid beside her as she went home. She is preceded in death by her siblings Irene Hawley, Jaunita Baughman, and J. T. Gunter; and husbands Duffy Burley and William “Billy” Boswell.

Rae was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She loved flowers, taking care of children, and spending time with her family.

Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church – 235 Pine Grove Road Leesville, SC 29070.

Visitation will be Monday, August 21, 2023 from 10-11 am at the Pine Grove Baptist Church.  Funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
