Jeanette (Eidson) Gunter

New Holland – Mrs. Benita “Jeanette” Eidson Gunter, 76, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Mrs. Jeanette is the wife of the late William Gordon “Billy” Gunter, Sr. She is the loving mother of William G. “Peewee” Gunter, Jr., Tammy G. Ergle and her husband Larry, and the late Jason Claude Gunter. Mrs. Jeanette is the grandmother of Jason Ergle. She is the sister of the late George W. Eidson, Pansy E. Derrick, Phillip Claude “Tip” Eidson, David Eidson, and Geneva “Sis” Matthews. Mrs. Jeanette is the daughter of the late Claude Wesley Eidson and Geneva Waters Eidson. She has a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Jeanette loved everybody, and everybody loved her. She was a beautiful soul who will be dearly missed. Mrs. Jeanette loved to cook, listen to gospel music, old country music, Elvis Presley, and rocking in her rocking chair. She remembered everything and loved to tell stories about the old days.

Visitation will be 2-3 pm on Sunday July 18, 2021 at New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church. A Service celebrating the life of Mrs. Jeanette will be held at 3 pm also on Sunday in the church. Rev. Virgil Parsons will be ministering.

The family asks that memorials be made to New Holland Pentecostal Holiness Church at 917 J. B. Swartz Road, Wagener, SC 29164.
