Jonah "Pap" Stukes, Jr.

Pelion– Mr. Jonah “Pap” and lovingly called “Dog” Stukes, Jr., 76, entered into rest Monday, September 27, 2021. He is the husband of the late Barbara Ann Miller Stukes. They had been married 28 years at her passing.

Mr. Jonah is the father of Donnie Stukes and his wife Sherry, and Sandra “Sandy” Addy. He is the grandfather “Papa” of Taylor Stukes and her fiancé Jody Whetstone, the late Warren Belford III, Austin Bobbitt, Courtney Sears and her husband Wes, Heath Addy, Paige Addy, and Emma Addy. Mr. Jonah is the great grandfather of Jamison Whetstone, Elizabeth Dunaway, Ahren Sears, Kaylee Maroney, Peyton Sears, Lizzie Sears, Grayson Addy, Jonah Addy, and Jackson Addy. He is the brother of Spencer Stukes, Leonard “Bubba” Stukes and his wife Linda, Joan Ellison, and the late Jimmy Stukes and his wife Jeannie. Mr. Jonah is the son of the late Jonah “Drive” Stukes, Sr. and the late Zadie Lucille Spires Stukes.

Mr. Jonah was a farmer who owned and operated Farmer’s Daughter Produce for 17 years. He also owned and operated Jonah Stukes and Son Hardwood Floors for over 50 years. Mr. Jonah enjoyed the outdoors, especially going deer hunting. He loved his family, grandkids, and great grandkids. Mr. Jonah enjoyed meeting and talking with his customers who also loved him.

Visitation will be 5-6 pm on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A Service Celebrating the life of Mr. Jonah will follow at 6:30 pm also in the chapel. Mr. Jonah’s nephew Pastor Travis Crumpton, who was like another son to him will be ministering to the family.
