Jonathan Daniel Widener, 46, entered into rest on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Left to cherish Jonathan’s memories are his wife of 14 years, Kippy Lynn Kitchings Widener, children: Braelynn Antoinette Widener, Dustin Tyler Waller and his wife Morgan, Alexis Victoria Waller, grandchildren: KayLeigh Waller, Savana Waller, Harrison Waller, IzaBella Paige, August Paige, and Lennox Paige, his parents, Ann and Phillip Widener, brother, Christopher Phillip Widener and his wife Sandra, his in-laws, Larry Kitchings and his wife Gay, and the late Vicki Kirkland Brown, nephews: Caine Widener and his wife Hayley, Justin Widener, and Jordan Widener.
Jonathan was born on February 9, 1980, in Columbia, SC, to Phillip Carrol Widener and Antoinette “Ann” McLaurin Widener. He was a graduate of Jefferson Davis Acadamy. He was a Welding Inspector and also inspected other fields that required inspection. Jonathan enjoyed working with his hands, he had the MacGyver ability and ingenuity to create and fix just about anything. He was a perfectionist with all he did. Jonathan loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren and his mini me Braelynn. She was truly a “Daddy’s Girl”.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blizzard Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5-6 pm on Wednesday , February 18, 2026, at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6 pm. Rev. John O’Cain will be officiating.
