Joseph Gayle Ullrich, Jr

Gilbert – Mr. Joseph “Joe” Gayle Ullrich, Jr., 73, entered into rest Friday October 22, 2021.

Joe was married for forty–eight years to his loving wife, Susan Stewart Ullrich. He is the father of Claire U. Miles whose husband is Scott. Joe is the Granddaddy of Hannah Miles. He is the son of the late Clare Schumann Tidwell and the late Joseph G. Ullrich, Sr., and the brother of the late Edward P.
Ullrich. Joe is the brother-in-law to Kathy and “Sambo” Cooper, and Betty Lou and Chuck Seaberg. He was a wonderful son-in-law to Susan’s parents the late Bob and Louise Stewart.

Joe was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired from the U. S. Postal Service. He was a master craftsman as a hobbyist and enjoyed gardening. Joe loved Lake Murray and the North Carolina mountains. He had several unique quotes and sayings that the family fondly remembers.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Rocky Grove Baptist Church Ramp Ministry, PO Box 508, Salley, SC 29137. 

The family will be gathering privately to celebrate Joe’s life.
