Laston Clifford Poole, Sr.

Laston Clifford Poole, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2022.

Laston is survived by his wife Annette Gunter Poole. They were married for 49 years. He is the father of Leree (Jyl) Poole, Denise (Russell) Williams, and Clifford (Chrysti) Poole. He is the grandfather of Kimberly Poole, Marissa Poole, Chloe Poole, Carli Poole, and Hannah Orrey. He is the brother of Freeman Poole, Doris (Burgess) Wilson, and Lindsay (Brenda) Poole. He is the loving Uncle Wiggles to many nieces and nephews. Laston is preceded in death by his father Hasting Poole and his mother Lennie Baughman Poole. He is also preceded in death by his grandson Marcus Orrey.

Laston was born in Wagener, South Carolina on February 14, 1947. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was a textile worker for many years. Laston loved his family and friends. He also loved fishing, drinking beer, chewing tobacco, and watching his westerns (John Wayne). He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Visitation will be 1-3 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Service will follow at 3 pm also in the church sanctuary.
