Lawrence "L. H." Henry Adkins

Pelion – Mr. Lawrence Henry “L.H.” “Gabby” Adkins, 82, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.

Mr. Lawrence is the husband of June Cushman Adkins, they have been married for 63 years. He is the father of Larry Adkins and his wife Kim, Vicky Clayton and her husband Kevin, Alex Adkins, Lee Adkins and his wife Karen, and the late Lille Geneva Corder. He is the father-in-law of the late Kimberly Adkins. Mr. Lawrence is the grandfather of Kristen Geddings, Larry Adkins and his wife Rosetta, Emilee Adkins and Devin Paul, Rachale Humphrey, Amanda Clayton and LaRon Edwards, Mark Clayton and his wife Monica, Melissa Anslow and Kevin Craft, Machell Lowder, Elizabeth Anslow, Lacy Anslow and Samuel Cullen, Lauren Anslow and Randy Hall, Rose Simmons and her husband Tommy, Breanna Adkins and Jimmy Prince, Dalton Adkins and his wife Kirsten. He is the great grandfather of 34. Mr. Lawrence is the son of the late Lillie Geneva Jeffords Adkins and the late Alec Sander Adkins. He is the brother of David Adkins, Leroy Adkins, and Mary Elizabeth Siegler. He has many nieces and nephews.

Lawrence was a man of God. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved to fish and hunt every chance he got. He didn’t care if he got anything or not, it was about the nature around him and the people with him that he loved the most. He loved to tell jokes and never meet a stranger. His nickname was Gabby because he liked to talk. He will be dearly missed, and we will forever cherish the memories we have with him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 6 - 7 pm at Pelion Church of the Nazarene.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7 pm also in the church sanctuary.
