Leroy "Chief" Raymond Williams

Leroy "Chief" Raymond Williams, of Neeses, SC, a man of opportunity and drive, passed away peacefully at the family farm on June 25, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on May 30, 1939, to  the late Raymond Williams and the late Ruby Hutto Williams. Leroy lived a life defined by his connection with friends, family and work.

Leroy was born into a farming family and that passion continued throughout most of his life. He retired from Owens Corning in Aiken, SC after 42 years of service then, also retired from Orangeburg County after 25 years where he was an attendant at the Sawyerdale convenience site. Additionally, He served in the United States Army National Guard.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Bradford Williams and his brother, Billy Ray Williams.

Leroy’s legacy lives on through his surviving family, who will miss him. He is survived by his children: Donald Williams, Karen Williams, and Kimberly Williams. He had 2 grandchildren: Phillip Williams (Brittany Williams), and Bryan Williams (Jennifer Williams). He had one great grandchild: Casey Dean Williams. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Joyce Williams.

A life so long and lived to its fullest extent deserves to be celebrated. His family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with those he lost and is finally at peace.

At the request of Leroy, a viewing service will be held at Blizzard Funeral Home in Wagener, SC, Saturday June 27th from 10 am – 11am. There will be a graveside ceremony at Mt. Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery the same day at noon. After the graveside ceremony family and friends are welcome to gather at his grandson Bryan Williams home, 2556 Ninety Six Rd Neeses, SC.
