Salley – Mrs. Lillie Mae Hoover Hallman, 83, departed here Thursday, September 2, 2021 to live eternally with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Lillie Mae is the wife for sixty years of the late James “Cecil” Hallman, the mother and mother-in-law of Wanda and Willie Hoffman, Cecilia Hallman and Steve Wade and the late Dennis J. Hallman. She is the grandmother of Chris Sharpe and his wife Melissa, great grandmother of Kaden Sharpe. Lillie Mae is the sister of Betty Jean Love and her husband the late Wilbur, Maggie McLaurin and her husband the late Neal, the late Margaret Gunter and her husband the late Jack, the late Richard Hoover and his wife Lucy, the late Herbert Hoover and his wife the late Connie Vernelle, and the late Wilbur Hoover and his wife the late Virginia.
Lillie Mae was born in Aiken County and was daughter of the late Braxton “Pent” and Maggie Viola Corbett Hoover. She was a member of Rocky Grove Baptist Church. Lillie Mae was a supervisor in the sewing room at Salley Manufacturing Plant and most recently a receptionist for Dr. Antley at the Wagener Vision Clinic.
Due to the increase in COVID cases, the Hallman family is not receiving friends or guests at this time.
Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Rocky Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John O'Cain officiating.
