Lillie "Doll" Redd

Mrs. Lillie Zelle “Doll” Courtney Redd, 98, entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Left to cherish Mrs. Lillie’s memories are her children: Roy Redd and his wife Bonnie, Mitchell Redd and his wife Pat, Gene Redd and his wife Alice Sue, and Linda Carver and her husband Billy, grandchildren: Tim (Carol) Redd, Robin (Amy) Redd, Lisa Lynch, Jodi (Lyle) Yarborough, Chrissy Redd, Todd (Katie) Redd, Amy Moore, and Cindy McNair, great grandchildren: Timothy (Caroline) Redd, Hillary (Hep) Platt, Andrew Lynch, Adalyn Yarborough, Liam Yarborough, Aidan McCaskill, Baylor Redd, Owen Redd, Mckenzie (Derek) Moore, Corey Love, Whitney (Kevin) Johnson, Abby Tindall, Chandler Etheredge, and great great grandchildren: Rylan Moore, Kason Moore, Adella Widener, Arden Chavis, Cohen Love, Edwin Platt, Haddie Platt, Sailey Redd, and Sullivan Redd.

Mrs. Lillie was born in Wagener, SC to the late Willard Courtney and the late Annie Wooten Courtney. She was the loving wife of the late Osborne Redd for 53 years until his passing on November 3, 1994. Mrs. Lillie is also preceded in death by a grandson; Bryan Redd, and her sisters: Eunice Sherrill and Evelyn Youngblood.

Mrs. Lillie was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She retired as a Seamstress from Salley Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Lillie was a strong and independent woman. She had a nurturing spirit, from caring for her family to growing flowers. She enjoyed her daily trips to the Courtney Center where she visited with friends and caught up on the latest town happenings. Mrs. Lillie’s most treasured times were spent with her family. She will be forever loved.

Memorials in Mrs. Lillie’s honor may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:30 pm on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Funeral Service will follow at 2:30 pm also in the church sanctuary. Mrs. Lillie will be buried next to her husband in the church cemetery.
