Linda Darnelle (Taylor) Jackson

Wagener – Mrs. Linda Darnelle Taylor Jackson, 77, entered into rest on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Linda is the wife of the late Jimmy Allen Jackson. She is the loving mother of Jimmy Dewayne Jackson, Jimmy A. “Butch” Jackson, Jr. and his wife Barbie, and Johnny Ray Jackson. Linda is the grandmother of Brandy Wasden and her husband Warren, Jimmy Jackson and his wife Ashley, and Jessica Taylor. She is the great grandmother of Warren Wasden, Jr., Rafe Wasden, Connor Jackson, Savannah Jackson, Randall Taylor, and Paisley Taylor. Linda is the daughter of the late Iva Jerene Taylor and the late Mary Ellen Sightler Taylor. She is the granddaughter of the late Harry and Lesie Sightler and the late Julian and Floria Taylor. She is the sister of Ellen Arant and her husband the late Manning, Teresa Taylor, and Laverne Taylor. She is the sister-in-law of the late Chan L. Jackson, Sr. and his wife Patricia, and Darryl G. Jackson, Sr. and his wife Candy. She is the aunt of Pamela Duncan and her husband Hilton, Tammy Batchelor, Michael Batchelor and his wife Nikki, Missy Taylor, Jason Taylor and his wife Carrie, Wendy Kennedy and her husband Eddie, Chan L. “Clay” Jackson, Jr., Christopher Jackson, and Darryl G. “DJ” Jackson, Jr.

Linda worked for Wagener Manufacturing, Salley Manufacturing, and Horseman Doll Manufacturing as a seamstress. She also worked for Huddle House for 24 years. She considered the Huddle House as her second family.

Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Rocky Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be at 2 pm, also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Wagener Cemetery. Mrs. Linda will be laid to rest beside her husband. Rev. John O’Cain will be ministering to the family.
