Mrs. Lisa Marie Malatesta Miller, 65, entered into rest on Thursday February 29, 2024.
Left to cherish Lisa’s memory is her husband of 32 years, Curtis Eugene “Gilly” Miller; her son, Christopher Erik Miller and his fiancé Kevin L. Mahler; siblings, David Malatesta and his wife Marie, Debra Ostrum and her husband Bill, and Pat Malatesta and his wife Donna; brother-in-law, Dean Miller and his wife Kathy; and aunt, Nikki Stevens; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lisa was born in Erie Pennsylvania on October 21, 1958, to the late Targuinio Joseph Malatesta, the late Elizabeth Marie Dinicola Berentzen and her husband the late Fred Berentzen. She is also preceded in death by her son the late LCpl Cody Evertte Miller, USMC; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lisa was a Paraprofessional for Busbee Elementary School and Wagener Salley High School. She had a huge heart for serving others, she displayed that through her love for her students and her family. Lisa was a fighter, she always had a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Lisa will be forever loved.
Visitation will be 6 – 7 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. A Time of Remembrance will begin at 7:00 pm.
The Miller family will honor Lisa’s life with a private burial.
