Manford Wood

Manford Wood, 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.

Manford is the father of Lee (Wendy) Wood, Ann (Troy) Wooten, and the late Jesse Wood. He is the grandfather of Garrett Wood, Eden (Tommy) Sliker, and J.T. (Taylor) Wooten. He is the great grandfather of Sophia Sliker and Michael Sliker. Manford is the son of the late Lucille Esther Brown Wood and the late Jessie Clarence Wood. He is the brother of Bonnie Kay Kneece.

Manford is a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He owned and operated “The River Store” and was a carpenter. Manford loved to plant and garden. He also enjoyed tinkering with old tractors.

Visitation will be 12:30-2 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Berlin Baptist Church. A Service Celebrating Manford’s life will be at 2 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery.
