Ms. Margaret Elaine Cain Burnett, 92, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
Margaret was born on August 3, 1932, in Oneonta, Alabama to the late Walter and Ora Willar Cain. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James Earl Burnett.
Left to cherish Margaret’s memories are her daughters: Debbie McCollum and Donna Fulmer, grandchildren: Christy (Arthur) Chavis, Melany (Jonathan) Tripp, and Brandi McCollum Young, great grandchildren: Joshua (Suzy) Chavis, Amber (Drew) Bishop, and Charli (Tyler) Manning, great great grandchildren: Abigail Chavis, Oliver Chavis, and Caroline Manning, sister, Frances Frachiseur, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Margaret was affectionately known by her family and loved ones as “Nanny” and “Old Goat” to Artie. She enjoyed playing bingo and taking golf cart rides. She cheered hard for her Auburn Tigers and the Atlanta Braves. Family was her pride and joy, her favorite memories were created by spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 10 am on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Rocky Grove Baptist Church. Rev. John O’Cain will be officiating.
