Marie Calvert

Steep Falls, Maine – Marie Ilene Ward Calvert, 76, entered into rest on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Marie is survived by her loving children: Richard “Rick” A. Calvert and his wife Michele, Dr. Philip W. Calvert and his wife Kristen, Catherine Michelle Arsenault and her husband Roberts, and Nicholas Brandon Calvert and his wife Ashley, 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, siblings: William “Billy” Ward, Jr. and his wife Linda, Willard “Bud” Ward and his wife Yvette, Dorothy “Dotsy” Moody and Paul, Wayne Ward, Charles “Charlie” Ward, and Peter Ward and his wife Melissa.

Marie was born in Portland, Maine to the late William Marcellus Ward, Sr. and the late Betty Marie Gain Ward. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William Hall Calvert, III.  

Marie had a true passion for helping others that was evident in her profession. She was an RN for over 40 years having worked in the NICU for over 25 years. She enjoyed crafting and going to local yard sales looking for her next treasure. Marie also loved photography, capturing life’s special moments.
