Mrs. Marilyn Elaine Nobles Quattlebaum, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
Left to cherish Marilyn’s memories are her loving husband of 34 years, Rodney Eric Quattlebaum. Her children James Keith Thomas, Lynn Beasley and her husband Keith, Dee Mays and her husband Chris, Erica Anne Quattlebaum, and Amanda Kaye Quattlebaum, grandchildren: Alexander Thompson, Haley Hamby and her husband Christopher, Lauren Thompson, James Beasley, Paige Mitchem and her husband Garrett, and Jesse Mays, great grandchildren: Noah Hamby, Tucker Hamby, Arya Carter, and Georgia Mitchem, her siblings and in-laws, Elsie Whitford, Joseph Nobles and his wife Mary, and Regina Harvey, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was born on October 31, 1942, to the late John Wiley Nobles and the late Virginia “Ginger” Pennell Russell Nobles. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Ray Nobles, Edwin “Buddy” Nobles, and Ronald Nobles.
Marilyn was a faithful member of Bethcar Baptist church where she served in many capacities including singing in the choir. A founding member of the “Lunch Bunch”, Marilyn enjoyed spending her Wednesday afternoons with her dear friends sharing a meal, devotion, prayer, and treasured fellowship. She loved spending time in the outdoors, she enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, Rodney. Marilyn retired from CCI Construction after many years serving as their secretary. A creative mind, she spent time reading and playing board and card games. Most of all, Marilyn’s most cherished time was spent with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Mema who loved her family and was deeply loved by them in return. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Memorials in honor of Marilyn may be made to Bethcar Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 2-4 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 1 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Bethcar Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
