Marvin Lonnie Baughman

Mr. Marvin Lonnie Baughman, 91, entered into rest on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

Mr. Marvin was born on October 9, 1931, to the late Alice Elestine Walker Baughman and the late Lonnie Oakley Baughman. He is the father of Ivan Campbell (Sharon) Baughman and Kevin Baughman. Mr. Marvin is the grandfather of Nicolas J. (Jessie) Baughman and Mariah Baughman. He is the great grandfather of Bella Baughman, Grant Baughman, Destyn Baughman and Darllya Baughman. He was the last survivor of 11 siblings: Dessie Fulmer, Harvey Baughman, Ottie Lee Cooper, Vernell Curtis, Connie Toole, Lola Gantt, Ruby Cooper, Pansy Mae Baughman, Mac Lester Baughman, and infant baby girl Baughman.

Mr. Marvin was a former town council member and mayor of Wagener. He was also the former assistant fire chief of the Wagener Fire Department. Mr. Marvin started his career as a brick mason and then became a general contractor. He built many homes and churches around the community.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Blizzard Funeral Home Chapel and the funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 also in the chapel. Burial will follow at Wagener Cemetery.
