Mrs. Mildred Fulmer Carver 91, entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. She was born in Steadman, SC and was a life-long resident of New Holland, SC.
Mrs. Mildred is preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Dewey Francis Carver, Sr., their son Frankie, her parents, and her siblings.
She is survived by their two sons Billy Carver (Linda) and Chuck Carver.
She was “Granny” to her grandchildren: Amy Moore, Kristi Harmon (Tim), and Cindy Carver, great grandchildren: McKenzie Moore (Derek), Whitney Johnson (Kevin), Abigail Tindall, Timothy Harmon, Corey Love (Stephanie), Tyler Harmon, and Chandler Etheredge, great great grandchildren: Rylan Moore, Kason Moore, Adella Widener, and Cohen Love.
Mrs. Mildred is the daughter of the late Ruby Thorton Fulmer and the late Frank Fulmer. She is the sister of the late Gerald Fulmer (the late Julia), the late Robert “Bill” Fulmer (the late Dell), the late Leroy Fulmer (Mattie Lou), the late Louise Stone (Charlie). She is the sister-in-law of Faye Shealy (the late Tom) and the late W. A. "Dub" Carver (the late Vernelle).
Mrs. Mildred was a member of New Holland Baptist Church where she wore many hats. She taught Sunday school and was active in the WMU as well as many other roles. She was there wherever she was needed at any given time and she always had a pound cake, pecan pie, or Watergate salad in hand.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to anyone in need. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family and friends. She never met a stranger. She was the glue that held her family together. She was always so proud of her children and grandchildren, she didn’t miss a chance to brag on them.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she was welcomed into eternal peace by her Lord Jesus Christ, and her husband Dewey.
The Carver family expresses their deepest appreciation to MSA Home Health and Enhabit Hospice for the love and care they showed Mrs. Mildred. A special thanks to Mrs. Patsy Randall for devoted care given to Mrs. Mildred and her whole family.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm on Saturday September 3, 2022 at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral Service will be 2 pm on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at New Holland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at New Holland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Holland Baptist Church at 2279 New Holland Road, Wagener, SC 29164. Rev. Owen McAlister and Rev. Chris Addy will be officiating.
