New Holland - Mr. Milledge Davis Shull, Jr., 92, entered into rest on Friday, May 19, 2023.
Davis is the husband of Betty Lou Ward Shull. They were married fifty-seven years. He is the father of Kevin D. Hutchenson and his wife Chris of Melbourne, FL, Keith W. Hutchenson and his wife Maria of Lincoln University, PA, Davis “Davie” J. Shull and his wife Patty of New Holland, and the late Stephen Edgar Shull. Davis is the grandfather of Kimberly Denise Boucher and her husband Steve, Kasci D. Pelucarte and her husband Thomas, Dwight K. Hutchenson and his wife Holly, Amanda Schaffers and her husband Chris, Alexandros Polyzos, Dakota Ray Hunter and his wife Maggie, Ashley Nicole Morris and her wife Shawna, Ethan David Shull, and Daniel Evan Shull. He is the great grandfather of Jonah Boucher, Rose Boucher, Louis Boucher, Henry Boucher, Elizabeth Boucher, Walter Boucher, Esther Boucher, Sophia Bice, Hazel Hutchenson, Wade Hutchenson, Joel Schaffers, Makayla Johnson, Makenna Johnson, Mason Johnson, and Makenzlee Johnson. Davis is the brother of Florence Foreman and her husband Michael, and the late Patricia “Pat” Senkaylar and her husband Hans. He is the son of the late Milledge Davis Shull, Sr. and Rozalee Kirkland Shull.
Davis graduated Clemson 1953 with a degree in Dairy Science. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served in the Medical Corp. He was faithful in serving at Pauline Church of Christ, where he served as an Elder, Music Director, Sunday School Teacher, as well as any other way he could serve the Lord. Davis obtained a Master of Education degree from S. C. State. One of his most notable positions was as Principal of the Salley Vocational School. He retired as Assistant Vocational Director for the School District of Aiken County. Davis retired from Aiken County Public Schools after thirty years. Music was an important part of Davis’s life. He sang with the Edisto Singers for more than twenty years and was a part of the Kirkland Quartet for many years.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Blizzard Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be at 4 pm Wednesday May 24, 2023 at Pauline Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the Wagener Cemetery. Pastor Rick Farwell with be ministering to the family.
