Mrs. Mitzie is the wife of William Junior Palmer. They have been married over forty years. She is the mother of William Braxton “Brack” Palmer, Timothy Junior Palmer, Tamethe Lucille Palmer and her husband Larry Sarvis, and the late Missy Lula-Ann Palmer. Mrs. Mitzie is the step mother of William Junior “Hank” Palmer, II, Nancy Palmer Bagwell and her husband Donald “Donnie’ Wayne. She is the Nanny of Darlene Lamb and Austin Palmer, and the great grandmother of Missy Lamb. Mrs. Mitzie’s step grandchildren are Penelope Lynne Burrel and her husband Levi, Michael Palmer, Ashley Bagwel, Kendall Willey and her husband Aaron, and Hank Palmer Bagwel, and she is the step great grandmother of Dustin Kelly, Elijah Palmer, Savannah Palmer, Ashley Palmer, Isabella Bell, Serenity Gunter, Sophia Gunter, William “Liam” Bagwell, Lili Crippen, and Aryanna Willey by her marriage to William. Mrs. Mitzie is the daughter of the late Dorothy Ann Courtney Pressley and the late Samuel Braxton Pressley. She is the sister of Ricky Pressley, and the late Ronald Pressley, Ann Pressley, Dean Pressley, Joel Pressley, Tony Pressley, and Michael Pressley. Mrs. Mitzie is the sister-in-law of Reba Adams, Janice Brown, Sadie Rackstraw, Buck Palmer, and the late Shirley Smith, Tommy Palmer, and Katheryn Philipps.

Mrs. Mitzie enjoyed trips to the mountains, parks, the beach, and museums. She worked at Double B Hardware for many years. Mrs. Mitzie’s childhood friend is Dianne Browder. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world. She also enjoyed fishing and loved her animals. Mrs. Mitzie had a heart of gold, helping anyone she could. She was the best mother in the world to her children. They thank God for her. She and Mr. William always had children in the home. Little Missy Lamb has been her ray of sunshine.

A Service Celebrating Mitzie’s Life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, November 28, 2020 in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. A time of fellowship following social distancing and mask protocols during the current health pandemic.
