Olga Pana Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Olga on December 03, 2021, our loving and devoted mother/grandmother and a friend to all whose lives she touched.  Olga Pana was born in Buzau, Romania on August 02,1934, the daughter of Ana and Stefan Pana.  She was raised and educated in Romania.  She worked at ITP, Ploiesti, as a planner/scheduler.  Olga was a devout Christian who loved God and, her family and friends.  A farm girl at heart, gardening and cooking were her passion. Her love for knitting shawls was well known by everyone in the family.

She emigrated to United States, Houston, TX in 1991.  She lived most of her “American life” with one or the other of her two daughters, Carmen and Roxana.  Olga was a caring mother and affectionate grandmother.  She treasured her grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.  She especially loved her role as “Bunica Olga”.  Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her daughters’ strong values that have served them well.

In 2015 she moved to a Senior Leaving Apartments, where she lived and enjoyed an independent life.  She loved to cook, but also had a flair for baking - her favorite dishes being mititei, sarmale, okra and cozonac.  She loved to entertain and was extremely happy when her friends would visit and spent time with her.  She enjoyed life and she made friends everywhere she went.  In mid-September, as her health was declining, she moved to Brighton Nursing Home: at the age of 87.  Olga passed away peacefully on December 03, 2021 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Katy, TX.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, and son-n-law, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be forever remembered by her niece and nephew, extended family and friends.  She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts!

Please join us in prayers by celebrating her life, Thursday, December 9th, 2021 at 12 pm at the Saints. Mary and Martha Monastery in Wagener, SC.
