Peggy Davis Yon

Peggy Davis Yon, 88, beloved wife of the late Earl Yon, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

A long-time resident of New Holland, she was a devout and faithful member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church. She served as Senior Adult Sunday School Teacher for many years until her health declined.

Peggy is survived by her children: Earl Stanley Yon Sr. (Joyce), Elizabeth Ann Yon Stoker (Rick), and the late Mark Steven Yon (Debra). Her grandchildren: Stacey Y. Wood (Russ), Earl “Skee Bo” Yon, Jamie Stoker, Nick Stoker (Kristen) Shelly Yon, and Joshua Yon (Samantha), eight great grandchildren along with two more to arrive later this year, five great great grandchildren, her sister: Dora Hartley, and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents: Linnah Bailey Davis and Shellie Davis, and her twelve siblings.

The family would like to express their thanks to the 5th floor nurses at Aiken Regional for the wonderful care they gave to their mom (especially Tori Bell).

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4 pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Rocky Springs Baptist Church. Celebration of life will be at 4 pm also in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev Milford Oswald will be officiating.
