Pete Dio

Peter “Pete” John Dio, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Pete is the husband of Barbara “Barb” Elizabeth Dio, they have been married for 24 years. He is the father of Tanner James Dio and his wife Heather, Aaron J. Wheeler, Ryan D. Wheeler and his wife Deb, and Emily E. Wheeler Lange and her husband Jordan. Pete is the grandfather of Morgan Dio, Amiah Wheeler, Caleb Wheeler, and Aubrie Lange. He is the son of James Dio and Heidimarie “Heidi” Dio. He is the brother of Michael “Mike” Dio and his wife Lynn. Pete is the son-in-law of Gary and Patricia Johnston. He is the brother-in-law of Bob Brawn and his wife Ellie, the late Brenda Cervi and her husband the late Tom, and the late Beth Ross and her husband Brian. He is the uncle of Jeff Dio and Jarret Brawn.

Pete grew up in Western New York and made the move to South Carolina with his family in 2012. Pete worked as a collision repair technician for over 35 years. He was an active member of Rescue Church, where he served as sound engineer for the worship team. Pete also enjoyed ministering at Cowboy Church with his horse Shadow, spending time with his cow friends, and going on perimeter checks with his dog Twister.

A Service Celebrating Pete’s life will be 1 pm on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Rescue Church.
