Ralph Durwood Hutson

Ralph Durwood Hutson, 66, entered into rest on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Left to cherish Ralph’s life is his wife of forty-seven years, Paula Kay Bell Hutson, his children; Sommer Hutson (Shaun) Gilbert, Ashleigh Starrett, Savannah (Laury Padgett) Hutson, and Mason Lee Hutson, grandchildren; Ryleigh A. Starrett, Alexander “Xander” Padgett, David Asher Padgett, and Bentleigh A. Rock, brothers; Allen (Carol) Hutson and John (Cindy) Hutson, mother-in-law; Norma Jean Bell, sisters-in-law; Patty Taylor and Pam Poole. He has many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ralph was the son of the late Woodrow “Buster” Allen Hutson, Sr. and the late Georgia Lee Chapman Hutson. He was also preceded in death by his sister Lizzy Mae Lee and two grandchildren.

Ralph enjoyed reading history and astrology. He faithfully watched Fox News and westerns, especially Gunsmoke. Ralph had many cats and dogs he was very fond of. He enjoyed a good debate. Ralph was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan. He also enjoyed chilling out while listening to music. Ralph loved all types of genres.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 3-4 pm in the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 4 pm also in the chapel. Pastor Steve Jones will be ministering.
