Ray Eugene Fields, Sr.

Wagener – Mr. Ray Eugene Fields, Sr., 77, entered into rest Sunday, March 22, 2020.

Mr. Ray is survived by his wife Jeanette Hoover Fields. She has been his constant companion and caregiver for over 30 years. He is the father of Ray Eugene “Gene” Fields, Jr. and his wife Fran, Debbie Chavis and her husband Jimmy, Annette Bruner her husband William. Mr. Ray is grandfather of Cindy Marie Davis, Chasity Elizabeth Chavis Rushton and her husband Eddie, Breanna Cheyenne Chavis, Benjamin Jacob Chavis, Whitney Jean Fields Williams and her husband Wesley, Stephanie Marie Fields, and Ray Padgett Fields and his wife Josie. He is the great grandfather of Annabelle Marie Davis, Avery Matthew Davis, Logan Rushton, Dylan Lucas Rushton, Zoe Leanna Rushton, Wyatt Matthew Rushton, Dawson Williams, and Landon Ray Fields. Mr. Ray is the brother of the late Peggy Marie Kirkland- Cole and the late George Henry Fields. He is the son of the late Carlos Henry Fields and Sybil Elizabeth Gardner Fields.

Mr. Ray was an employee of Coburg Milk and E.C. Dickenson Farms. He was a graduate of Wagener-Salley Highschool, where he played football and drove a school bus. Mr. Ray enjoyed fishing and hunting.

A graveside service will be 2 pm on Wednesday March 25, 2020 at Salley Oakview Cemetery.
