Lexington – Mrs. Rhoflen Hutto Gantt, 85, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 13, 2022. She was born March 12, 1937, in Aiken County, SC.
Rhoflen is the loving mother of Lesha G. Frye, Max Gantt, III (Nancy), Debra G. Sprinkle (Steve), and John R. Gantt (Lisa). She is the grandmother of Chad Sox, McKenzie Sox (Cody), Hunter Gantt (Rebecca), Randy Gantt (Kimberly), and Owen Gantt (Christina). Rhoflen is the great grandmother of Parker Sox and Axl Gantt. She is the widow of the late Max Gantt, Jr. Rhoflen is the daughter of the late John Burdette Hutto and the late Louise Poole Gantt. She is the sister of the late Wyman Hutto and his wife the late Doris.
Rhoflen graduated from Salley High School in 1956 where she wrote for the school paper. She was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening and puzzles. She loved her home and made it the gathering place for her family.
Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Berlin Baptist Church. A Service Celebrating Mrs. Rhoflen’s life will follow the visitation and will also be in the church sanctuary and begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband. Pastor Benny Williams will be ministering.
