Robert Garfield Tillison, Sr.

Gaston – Mr. Robert Garfield Tillison, Sr., 62, entered into rest Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Robert is the loving husband for thirty-eight years to Tammy Bolin Tillison. He is the father of Robert Garfield Tillison, Jr. and his wife Charmen, and Ethan Drew Tillison and his wife Shannon. Robert is the grandfather of Christian Kirt Dangin and Jayce Wayne Tillison. He is the brother of Bennett Tillison, Sue Smyly and her husband Christopher “Chris”, and Britta Carver and her husband Steve.  Robert is the son of the late Claridge DeNell “C.D.” Tillison and the late Virginia Spicer Tillison. He is the son- in-law of Johnny Randolph Bolin, Jr. and Shirley McCollum Bolin. Robert is the brother-in-law of Johnny R. Bolin, III and his wife Teresa Evelyn “Teri”, and William Kevin Bolin and his wife Penny. He has several nieces and nephews as well as many cousins, and aunts and uncles. Robert was also blessed to have several lifelong friends.

Robert was born in Pensacola, FL on Friday, April 27,1962. He, with his family, moved to Wagener, SC in 1972.

There he grew to become an EMT in Aiken County, SC, an Operations Manager for Simplex Communications in Myrtle Beach, SC and for Nutech in Jacksonville, FL to Regional Manager for Honeywell in Nashville, TN.

He had a joy of playing golf and chess. Also, a love of small game hunting and fishing.
