Elmer Ronald “Ronnie” Rish, 65, returned to his heavenly home on October 13, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine (29) years, Carol Young Rish. He is the son of Elmer A. Rish and Ernestine Starnes Rish. Ronnie is the brother of E. Wayne Rish. He is the father of Douglas Rish and grandfather of Brooklyn Rish. Ronnie was the loving uncle of Donald (Elisa) Rish, Cody (Shannon) Rish, Crystal Rish, Jason Miller, Roger Young, Jr., Joyce Hutto, and Cindy Parker, the great uncle of Brianna (Bobby) Chavis, Brenna Kirkland (Melvyn Barr), Shyanne Rish, Tyler Miller, Brett Hutto, and Heather (Nate) Magdaleno, and his aunt, Betty Head. His in-laws include, Janie Young, Faye Miller, Jimmy Young (Ruby Nell), Roger Young and Robin Tisdale Whittle.
Ronnie was predeceased in death by his father, Elmer A. Rish, uncle, Thomas Gray Rish, aunt, Bessie Herron, and brother-in-law, Robert Young.
Ronnie worked at Owens Corning (Fiberglass), Wagener Manufacturing, Salley Manufacturing, and retired from Piggly Wiggly in Wagener. He enjoyed playing golf, spending time with family and friends. As an avid fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks, he looked forward to every football and baseball season. Ronnie was always willing to lend a helping hand in any way that he could. Ronnie will be forever loved and missed.
Viewing will be Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the chapel of Blizzard Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be 3 pm on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Perry Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Rish family will greet friends following the graveside service.
