Ross Lee Smith, I

Pelion – Ross Lee Smith, I, 82, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

Mr. Ross is the father of Carrie Smith, Frances Smith Seybold and her husband Scott, Ross L. Smith, II and his wife Jennifer “Jen”, and Jamie Smith. He is the grandfather of Shelby Lankston, Sarah Daggerhart, Sean Lankston, Hillary Seybold, Jeremy Seybold, Ross L. Smith, III, and Elizabeth “Libby” Smith. He is the great grandfather of Elizabeth Sheppard, Julian Daggerhart, Sean Lankston, and Abigail Lankston. He is the husband of the late Frances Ruby Smith. He is the brother of Drate Smith (the late Mary) and the late Evelyn Smith Beauchamp, Carl Smith (the late Fern), Julius Smith, Norris Smith, Norman Smith (the late Retha), Kenneth Smith (the late Joyce), and Linda Smith Boggs. He is the brother-in-law of Sylvia Smith and Jimmy Smith. Mr. Ross is the son of the late Marion Jefferson Smith and the late Ruth Isabel Catlett Smith.  

Ross was born and raised in Norman Oklahoma.  He graduated high school in Central City Colorado where he excelled on the basketball court.  Ross earned a Bachelor of Science Education Degree at Oklahoma University in 1964. 

He went on to have a tremendous career with Orkin Exterminating.  His bright mind, hearty stories, and keen whit will be lovingly missed

A Celebration of Life Service honoring Mr. Ross will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Wagener.
