Shirley Jean (Smith) Poole

Salley – Shirley Jean Smith Poole, 77, entered into rest Friday, August 27, 2021.

Shirley is the mother of Sharon P. Jeffcoat, Becky Townsend and her husband Daniel, Barry Poole, and the late Jimmy Wayne Poole.  She is the grandmother of Donald and Brittany Jeffcoat, April and Nevin Chamberlain-Gentry, Kelsey Lankford and Chris Laux, Kayla Lankford and Andrew Neff, and Ashley Poole.  Shirley is the great grandmother of Adelyn Olivia Jeffcoat, Thomas-Tillman Wayne Jeffcoat and Braylen Neff.  She is the sister of Addie “Scronch” Yvonne Cantu, the late Robert C. Smith, the late Peggy Yon, the late Ann Laura Geddings, and the late DeLetha “Letha” Lucas.

Shirley attended the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.  She loved; gardening, canning vegetables, and shelling butterbeans.  She was an animal lover.  Shirley loved Elvis Pressley and loved to dance.  She also loved to dress up for Halloween.  She was the best cook in the world!

Visitation will be Sunday August 29, 2021 from 4 – 6 pm at Blizzard Funeral Home Chapel, and her funeral service will be Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11 am also in the Chapel.    Burial will be at Clinton United Methodist Church Cemetery, Salley, SC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alliance Hospice and Palliative Care, 1147 Georgia Avenue North Augusta, SC 29841.
