Ted Smith Martin

Mr. Ted Smith Martin, Retired USAF, MSGT, 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, December 20, 2024.

Left to cherish Mr. Ted’s memories are his daughters, Caroline Renate Martin, and Leslie Martin Kirkland and her husband Kyle, grandchildren: Milo Jesus Martin Belanger, Calder West Martin Belanger, Addison Zane Compton, Grayson Lane Kirkland, and Emersyn Raine Kirkland, and sister-in-law, Geneva Martin.

Mr. Ted was married to Helen Lutz Martin for 45 years at her passing in 2017. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Violet October Martin Belanger, and his brother Don Allyn Martin. He was the son of the late Enoch Smith Martin and the late Eunice Evelyn Heath Martin Scalf.

Mr. Ted served his country proudly, a Veteran of the United States Air Force, MSGT E-7. He was a decorated serviceman having received many accolades: Joint Service Commendation Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Graveside service will be 10 am on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Bethcar Baptist Church with Military Honors.
