New Holland – Wendy Ellen Poole, 61, entered into rest Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was affectionately known as “Pud” and “Little Hoyt”.
Wendy is the mother of Steven “Stymie” Hutto and his wife Kathy, Michael Dickson and his wife Traci, and the late Ryan Seth “Bugaboo” Dickson. She is the grandmother of Noah Stevens Hutto, Collin Jamesayer Hutto, Sawyer Finley Hutto, Samantha and Andy McCarver, Paige and Jacob Mercurio, and Brandon Dickson. Wendy is the daughter of the late James Hoyt Poole and the late Patsy Jewel Knight Poole. She is the sister of Ann McManus and her husband Wes, and Andy Poole and his wife Jan. Wendy is the Aunt of Wesley “Chippy” McManus, Anna McManus, Andrew and Anna Poole, and Patti and Matt Giftos. She is the niece of Sara Kirkland and the late Henry, Rena and Charlie Upright, Linda Butler and the late Ernest, Margaret Kay Kirkland and Jim, Alcyon Bledsoe and Laverne, the late Fitz Knight, Jr. and the late Alma, Juanita Poole and the late W. C. Poole, the late Margaret and J. C. Bolen, and the late Mary Hatfield. Wendy also has many cousins.
Wendy is a member of Bethcar Baptist Church. She is well loved by all who knew her. Wendy loved life and always enjoyed making others laugh. She never met a stranger. You always knew what was on her mind.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Bethcar Baptist Church at P. O. Box 546 Wagener, SC 29164 in honor of Wendy.
Graveside service will be Monday, August 1, 2022 11:00 am at Wagener Cemetery. Rev. Chris Addy will be ministering.
