Sallie was a beautiful lady inside and out. She made the world a much nicer place by spreading her abundant love, beautiful smile, quick wit and positive attitude to all of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She personally brightened my day every time I saw her in the Red & White which was probably just about every day of her working career at the shirt factory (and mine at the Red & White). She was without a doubt one of the many positive role models in my life and I praise God for the blessing of knowing her. She was an angel on earth and now she is a special addition to the angels in Heaven. God speed Sallie...you loved and were loved.

I wanted to reach out to you during this sad time to offer my condolences. While nothing will completely take away your grief, by meditating on God's promises found in the Bible, you can find real hope and the strength to keep going. I have found the scripture at Isaiah 25:8 to be especially comforting. Here it promises that God "will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

So sorry to hear of this loss. Aunt Sallie was always kind and loving with everyone she met. I still remember those evenings Mom and Dad would take us to visit. The grown-ups would be playing cards and the kids were in and out the house playing goodness knows what all. We would stay really late and my sisters and I would sleep in the car on the way back to Columbia. Yes, those were the good old days.

Sal was a special lady. I believe that she was loved by everyone as much as she loved everyone. She and my mom were really close to each other. I was suppose to go see her on Monday but, something came up. Just goes to show that we shouldn't put things off. I have a lot of great memories of her, even visiting with her at Perry Eldercare she always cracked me up. She asked me every time how my mama was doing and I would always tell her that she's doing better than she's ever been. Then I would tell you'll see her soon and now she has. It's just been a year since mama has gone home and now Sal gets to she just how good she really is. Sal had a host of grandkids, great grands and great great grands that loved her and will miss her too. You will be missed by all, especially me.
